Welcome to Northwest Hills UMC!

Rev. Bill Henderson Rev. Madeline Carrasco Henners

Our Vision:

Offering God's Love
...Building Believers

Browse this site and you will learn about a gathering of people open to your being a part of our life together. Join us in our worship, our fellowship, our learning and our reaching out to our neighbors with Good News and a servant's love. We are God's people gathered together as a family with Open Hearts, Open Minds and Open Doors hoping you will join us in growing together.

You will read here of many ways you can come close to God and bring those close to you into learning of the multiple dimensions of God's grace. We would love to have you participate in the many activities for people of all ages. You can make strong our outreach in mission to the Austin community around us.

We have been blessed by God's compassionate mercy, encouraged in hope and delighted with a joyful future in 2008. Sharing your struggles, hopes, and the gifts of your presence, prayers and service with us would wonderfully strengthen our life lived for Christ's sake. Please let us know if we can help you serve God and our neighbor together.

Yours in Christ,
Rev. Bill Henderson

One creed says, "We are called to be the church: to celebrate God's presence, to love and serve others, to seek justice and resist evil, to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen, our judge and our hope." The Northwest Hills Mission Statement parallels this affirmation.

You can join us as we celebrate God's presence in worship and in prayer; as we love and serve others through our Stephen Ministry, our prayer shawls, and our mission work; as we seek justice by preaching and practicing forgiveness and mercy; and as we proclaim a radical Jesus who especially offers his love to wretched sinners.

In 2008, we seek to be the church we have been for over forty years. We strive to be a better church for the next forty years, and you can help! Pray for God's guidance as to what you can do in particular. Talk to the people pictured in this site who are involved in a ministry that interests you. What you do in your ministry will bless others and be a blessing to you as well.

Lay Leader,

Bill Cain
