Sunday School

Sunday school is an important part of the life of Northwest Hills UMC. We currently have
11 different classes at 10:10 a.m. Each class studies a variety of subjects, in a variety of
ways. They are also made up of different demographics. As a guest, the pastors or ushers
are a great resource to direct you to a class that may be right for you. You can try all of them!

MEN’S CLASS | 7:30 am | Room 106 | Leader - Bobby Callison


The men of Northwest Hills UMC believe that God has made them for a special purpose. God wants them to impact their families, church, and community in His name. Their intention is to explore God’s purpose for them as men, energizing each other for what they face each week, and identifying ways they can serve.

IMPRESSIONS | 10:10 am | Room 111 | Ken  & Bonnie Moyer and Gary & Judy Johnson

The Impressions of Jesus class focuses on Bible and Christian-based studies as
selected by the class. They gather often for fellowship outings to get to know each
other better. They also help to organize church volunteer opportunities.

2X2 | 10:10 am | Education 2 Building

The 2x2, made up of married couples with young children, seeks to support and
spiritually enhance their families, careers, and marriages. Bible study, parenting,
relationships, and family issues are discussed in a relaxed atmosphere where
members take turns teaching.

DISCOVERY | 10:10 am | Room 110

The Discovery class is made up of singles and couples who share in lively group
discussion of the Bible and faith from historical and other perspectives. All
viewpoints, backgrounds, and opinions are welcome! Their outreach includes service
projects supporting the United Methodist Committee on Relief.

DISCUSSION | 10:10 am | Room 114

The Discussion Class is made up of adults, both couples and singles. The style of the
class is both lecture and discussion. They invite a variety of presenters and speakers
throughout the year who share issues ranging from Christian topics to secular issues.

JOSHUA | 10:10 am |Room 106

Joshua individuals like to study and discuss Biblically-focused lesson books. Different
volunteers lead class each Sunday. They are a friendly bunch who are always
welcoming new folks.

LIVING WATER | 10:10 am | Room 105

Living Water is a spirited group who use a variety of study styles, including video and
discussion. They are of all ages and stages in life, so anyone will feel welcome.
Ultimately, this class seeks to be formed into the likeness of the ‘Living Water,’ Jesus.

20s and 30s | 10:10 am | FLC Room 108

Life and can be challenging and walking out our faith alone can be tough. Meet other folks in the same boat every Sunday and for fellowship during the week also. Contact Pastor Audrey for more info at

SEEKERS | 10:10 am | Room 103

Seekers is an active group of parents and children. Their class is an organized, open
discussion with topics that range from the Bible to relationships and family issues.
They have a good sense of humor in discussions and have regular social gatherings
outside Sunday School.
