Please note that the church office will close at noon on Fridays from now on. Monday-Thursday the office is open 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 1:00-5:00 p.m. Friday the office is open 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.


NORTH HILLS GALLERY presents Journey of A Lifetime: Eileen Pestorius from March 3-28. Please join us for a reception today at 12:15 p.m.

WOMEN'S BOOK GROUP: The Women's Book Group will meet at 9:30 a.m. in room 109 on Monday, March 8, for a review and discussion of The Help by Kathryn Stockett. Please join us. Call Jan Broomall, 250-0177, with questions.

TRAVEL NEWS: Join us for dinner at the Culinary Academy March 12. Chef John Maroon has a wonderful evening planned for us. He and his students will give us a tableside demonstration of an entréand a dessert. Vans leave the church at 6:00 p.m. The cost is $24 per person. A cash bar will be available for beer and wine. Make your reservation and menu choice in the folder at the reception desk or call the church office. Please make reservations and payment by tomorrow, March 8, at noon.

MOVIE NIGHT: Come watch Spitfire Grill with the Momentum Sunday School class on Saturday, March 13 at 6:00 pm in the Family Life Center. The film is about starting over and explores themes of forgiveness, redemption and community. Bring a snack to share, perhaps something you would order at a grill, and plan to enjoy this film with us.

HIGH TEA: Ladies, join us for an afternoon of tea and refreshments accompanied by warm conversation. Silver High Tea on Saturday, March 13 at 2:00 p.m. at the home of Sharon Callison, 7200 Halbert, Austin, Texas. Hats and gloves would be lovely. Family and friends would be a delightful addition. This event is sponsored by Girl Time as a fundraiser to celebrate our Women's Ministry. Please sign up in the narthex.

CHILDREN OF AGING PARENTS: Adult Children of Aging Parents support group will meet Wednesday, March 17 at 7:00 p.m. in Education II. Frances Meiser will present "Brain Care and Food," sharing the importance of water, movement and nutrition for the brain and ways we can care for our loved ones and ourselves. Call Nancy Nickerson with questions: 837-3741.

DIMES FOR DARFUR: For those who have been saving their dimes to help children in Darfur orphaned by ongoing war and HIV/AIDS, you can bring your dimes, nickels and quarters to worship on March 21 and place them in front of the altar. (Please, no pennies!) If you don't have a Dimes for Darfur collection box, you can bring coins in a baggie!

GOLF TOURNAMENT: Men, women and children, mark your calendars for the annual Damron/Davidson golf tournament on April 24 at Lions Muni golf course!

Prayer Groups:
Weekly prayer group meets on Fridays at 11:15 a.m. in the FLC Chapel. All are welcome to join us! Monthly prayer meeting on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the FLC Chapel.
Prayer Shawls on the altar today were made for Suzanne Rabb, Mary Margaret Rabb, Tyler Rabb, Andrew Payne, Claire Payne, Travis Payne, Matthew Payne, Ginny Schench and David Maze. The prayer beads were made for Sharon Donley.
Altar Flowers: The flowers on the altar are given to the glory of God and in celebration of the marriage of Haley Finley-Jones and Isai Overa and in celebration of the baptism of Grant Jeffry Ratcliffgardy and Amelia Christine Ratcliffgardy given by their family, Christine Gardy, Jeffry Ratcliff, and Vinson Ratcliffgardy.
