Prayer Opportunities at Northwest Hills

Intercessory Prayer Chains

Pray for the needs of the church from home. Requests are communicated daily by e-mail. This ministry includes two groups, the emergency team and the sustaining team. The emergency team is called upon to pray earnestly in potential life and death situations. The sustaining team consists of those who pray on a specific day of the week. Yahoo Prayer Group

Members receive and share joys and concerns of the church and its members by e-mail. To subscribe send an e-mail to nwhillsumcprayers-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.

Prayer Groups

Meet regularly with others for prayer.
Keys to the Kingdom Prayers meet on Fridays at 11:15 a.m. in the FLC Chapel to pray for individual concerns.
Monthly Prayer Hour meets on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the FLC Chapel to pray for the missions and ministry of the church, for individuals and to celebrate Communion.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Knit and crochet shawls by request for those who need comfort or for those whom we honor. Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the Prayer Room, Room 100 in the FLC. Attendance at meetings is not required, and all skill levels are welcome. Prayer Time in the Prayer Room

Sign up to come to the Prayer Room at a specific time each week, or come whenever you can. The Prayer Room is a quiet place to spend time with God and offers an abundance of resources to support and nurture the prayer lives of everyone at NWHUMC. It is available between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays (a key is available in the office if the building is locked) and on Sunday mornings. Room 100 of the FLC. The adjoining Prayer Garden on the east side of the FLC is also available for your use.

United Methodist Men's Prayer Breakfast

Attend the weekly breakfast meeting for personal and intercessory prayer for joys and concerns of the church and for support of each other at 7:00 a.m. every Wednesday in the FLC Activity Center. Contact Bob Callison at 345-4796.

Prayer Team

Be available to minister, lead, encourage, teach and facilitate prayer at NWHUMC and share in responsibilities of the overall prayer ministry. Contact Lane Garrett at 342-2171.
