Women's Bible Study
Thursdays at 10:00am in room 106
September 3 through November 19
Join Beth Moore in "Daniel: Lives of Integrity, Words of Prophecy" with the first portion studying Daniel's life as he faced the kind of pressures and temptations Christians encounter today. The second portion explores thrilling prophecies from the time of Daniel through the second coming of Jesus Christ.
Join us in this faith-building study of prophecy and learn how to live with integrity in today's self-absorbed society. The prophet Daniel faced unbelievable pressures to compromise his faith, to live in a hostile culture, and to confront temptations and threats. Today, believers in Jesus Christ face many of the same trials.

All men of the church are invited to our (sometimes “annual”) UMM Steak Dinner. This year we will get together for T-Bone steaks, baked potatoes, and salad. You must make reservations to guarantee your seat. Sign up in the Narthex on Sundays thru Sept. 6. You are welcome to bring a guest (or your son if you feel he would benefit from a dinner out with Dad).
This year our speaker will be Dr. Charles Akins, distinguished public educator, former principal of Anderson High School (and for whom Akins High School is named). Dr. Akins is a long-time member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a regular participant in Austin/Capital District UMM activities. Don’t wait - make your reservation today!

Once again members and friends of Northwest Hills UMC are invited to join Reverend Sue Abold on an educational cruise of the Caribbean. This year we will be going on the "Abingdon Women's Retreat" cruise. Enjoy the beautiful sandy beaches of Cozumel, Mexico and Key West, Florida with Christians from around the country. The Bible studies will be led by three women who are known for inspiring others through study and worship: Babbie Mason, Barbara Roose, and Melissa Spoelstra. Although this is billed as a Women's Retreat, men are welcome!
Cabin prices start at $399 per person (double occupancy). For more information, contact Rev. Sue or pick up a brochure on the rack by the reception desk in the church offic. You can also visit cruise company's website at (go to "find a trip" then "fellowship cruises").
Coffee with the Pastors
The first Sunday of every month our pastors host a coffee at 10:10 am in room 110 for newcomers to Northwest Hills, guests, new members, and anyone with questions about our church. Pastors Charlie and Audrey are delightfully accessible with a great sense of humor, and they look forward to getting to know you and providing more information about this faith community.
Don't be shy, come say "Hi"!
