Walk to Bethlehem & Gingerbread Cafe
Saturday, December 7 th — 4 - 6pm - Campus Wide
Please join this church-wide event as we re-create what it might have been like in Bethlehem the night Jesus was born. You are invited to be a part of this amazing story as you sample goods in the marketplace, hear storytellers share stories of their history and faith, all while rumors of angels, shepherds, and a baby drift through the village.
This event will also include our annual Gingerbread House decorating. Join us at the Gingerbread Café to decorate a gingerbread house and share a meal. The cost is $20/house. Look for the sign-up in the narthex to reserve your house. There is no charge for the Walk To Bethlehem. For volunteer and donation opportunities contact Denise Cornell (512-921-4783, firstname.lastname@example.org.

Woman to Woman:
An Advent Study, "When God Comes Down", begins November 14th at 10:00am in the Upper Room of the FLC. This five week study looks at the stories of the primary biblical characters in the birth stories through whose lives the miracle of incarnation happened: Zechariah, Elizabeth, Joseph, Mary, and Jesus. The author also looks at a traditional character in nativity plays, one who is not mentioned in the Bible, the Innkeeper. Through all of these characters, he helps us claim for ourselves the reality of God's presence with us.
Fall Bible Study
"Christians in a Pagan World," begins October 29 at 7:00 pm in room 109. We will be using a participant's guide and video from Ray Vander Laan, "The Early Church," to learn how early Christians survived and thrived in a hostile pagan world and how that will help us in the 21 century to do the same. Come discover how the early Christian church, on fire with the message of Jesus, literally changed the world. No work required before the first class. Contact Paulette (email@example.com) or the church office to register.
