Free Thanksgiving Dinner!

Sunday, November 23, 4:00-7:00pm in the FLC Activity Center

Come and experience this delightful Northwest Hills Thanksgiving tradition. Ours is a wonderfully diverse community of ethnicities and generations from all over the world, and all are welcome for a taste of Thanksgiving and Christian hospitality. The dinner is an opportunity to share the love of God with our neighbors through food and fellowship.

Please bring the following according to last name: (enough to serve at least 15 people)
A-C: vegetables
D-J: stuffing/rice/potatoes
K-O dessert
P-Z: salad (fruit or veggie)

We need 15 turkeys for this year’s Thanksgiving potluck. If you are willing to cook a turkey, please call the church office at (512) 345-1743 by Wednesday, November 19 so we have an accurate turkey count. It would be helpful if you could carve and slice the turkey before you bring it. If you cannot, please bring your whole, cooked turkey to the FLC Kitchen by 2:30 pm on Sunday, November 23. Please contact Susan Hammond with any questions or for more information (512) 388-2734.

This charming and funny presentation includes nice musical transitions between traditional carols and more contemporary Christmas music. The focus is on God’s love and will be a heartwarming experience for all.

Bring family & friends to enjoy this fun tradition which will be followed by an equally fun evening out caroling in the neighborhood from 6:30-8:30. Houses are $20 in advance. Reserve yours now at gingerbread@nwhillsumc.org.

Christmas Cantata - "Kneeling in Bethlehem"
“Kneeling in Bethlehem” is based on the book by Ann Weems and the following passage within, “What do I want for Christmas? I want to kneel in Bethlehem, the air thick with alleluias, the angels singing that God was born among us. In the light of the star, I want to see them come, the wise ones and the humble...”

Christmas Eve Worship

7:00pm - Sanctuary Choir w/Organ

Walk to Emmaus

Men's Walk will be in February 2015

The Walk to Emmaus is a three day experience which takes a New Testament look at Christianity as a lifestyle. It begins on a Thursday evening and ends on a Sunday evening with the objective being to inspire, challenge and equip local church members for Christian action in their homes, churches and places of business. These are enormously popular throughout the Methodist Community and everyone should experience it at least once. Get more information here.

Coffee with the Pastors
Are you a newcomer to Northwest Hills? Are you a guest or have you recently joined the church? Either way, you may have questions. Join us for coffee with the pastors on the first Sunday of each month at 10:10 am in room 110 of the Worship and Education building.
