The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual journey. It revolves around the scripture in Luke 24:13-35 where two men are walking on the road to Emmaus. These men were discussing the events of the day and they are very troubled. It is the third day after the crucifixion and the body has been discovered to be missing. These verses are the cornerstone of the Walk to Emmaus. The Walk is open to anyone of any denomination who attends a church. It is for anyone who has a desire to strengthen their spiritual lives. It is for anyone who has questions about their faith.

You will enjoy three days of singing, learning, laughing, worshiping, reflecting, praying and participating in small groups.  It begins on Thursday evening and concludes on Sunday evening. During those days, you will have   discussions centering around fifteen talks given by lay persons and clergy.  These talks present the theme of God’s grace, how that grace comes alive in the Christian community and how it is expressed in the world.  You’ll also discover how grace is real in your life, how you live a life of grace, and how you bring that grace to others.

You will have the opportunity to participate in the daily celebration of Holy Communion and to understand more fully the body of Christ.  You will experience God’s grace through the prayers and acts of anonymous service offered by the Emmaus community.  You will leave with an experience of Christian love in action that will equip you for new levels of grace-filled service and leadership as you head back to your daily lives and your home churches.

What is an Emmaus Reunion Group?

The Reunion Groups are groups of people who have been on an Emmaus Walk who want to meet and share, pray and focus on a closer walk with Christ.
