Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
– Galatians 6:2
The Stephen ministry equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregations and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. Our Stephen Ministers are lay persons who have received training in providing emotional and spiritual care for those experiencing challenges in life. A Stephen Minister is someone who will “be there” for his or her care receiver, meeting faithfully each week for as long as there is a need.
Stephen Ministry is a confidential ministry: The identity of those receiving care and what takes place in each caring visit remains confidential. If you are in need of a Stephen Minister or know someone who is, please contact the church office.
If you are interested in possibly becoming a Stephen Minister, talk with a pastor or a Stephen Leader after worship (wearing blue name badges). You may also contact Marsha Gray.
